Entertainment

Falmouth is one of Cornwall's most impressive south coast resorts. Home to the country's maritime heritage, here you will find sandy beaches and spectacular scenery.

There are many specialist shops from local art to antiques. Exceptional sailing in the Carrick Roads and Fal Estuary and many wrecks to dive on and explore. Sight seeing in the Falmouth area could not be easier.

You can climb aboard one of the many passenger ferries or pleasure boats to explore the harbour, bay or over to St Mawes. You can go further a field still, up the river to the city of Truro or over to the beautiful Helford river.

The main street is a mixture of chain stores and individual specialist outlets. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, pubs and hotels offering an international table. You can try the famous Cornish Cream Teas or indulge yourself to a homemade ice cream, but what ever you do you must not forget to try a Cornish Pasty.

There are plenty of bars and pubs offering live music and other entertainment. Falmouth is also home to the Poly arts centre which boasts one of Britain's first cinemas and is also a great venue for talks and special events.
